01. Delousing Shampoo
If your head lice are infested as hard as they are to control, it’s time to change your shampoo. You can buy a shampoo specially designed to get rid of lice. But you can’t take a bath like you used to, you should leave it for 10 to 15 minutes after applying the delousing shampoo.
During that time you don’t have to do anything, the shampoo takes care of everything. When choosing this type of delousing shampoo, choose a reputable one from a good brand. For that, ask a doctor or beautician who has some expertise.
02. Vinegar
Wash your hair with delousing shampoo and then mix it with 50% water and 50% white kitchen vinegar and rinse again. This will remove dead nits and rinse several times until the odor is gone. Do this again after a few days.
Additionally, mix vinegar with olive oil and apply the mixture to the scalp about an hour before bathing. Then wear a shower cap. After an hour, remove the shower cap and take a good shower with normal shampoo.
03. Petroleum Jelly
Petroleum jelly is a semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons. Also known as petrolatum, soft paraffin, white petrolatum, or multi-hydrocarbon. For this, the Vaseline brand has gained a name since 1870.
Apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly on the scalp. Then cover with a shower cap and leave it overnight. Get up in the morning, remove the shower cap and use baby oil or mineral oil to remove the layer of petroleum jelly.
After that wash well with shampoo. You will need to shampoo several times to completely remove the petroleum jelly. By doing this for several consecutive nights, you will get better results.
04. Oil Treatment
Certain oils can kill your head lice as well as reduce itching. Let’s focus on such an oil treatment. For this you need tea tree oil, rosemary oil, lemon, lavender oil and vegetable oil.
Mix well with 20 drops of tea tree oil, 15 drops of rosemary oil, 10 drops each of lemon and lavender oil and 4 drops of vegetable oil. Apply this on your scalp and rub it well. Then put on a shower cap and wrap your head with a towel. After an hour, remove the head cover and wash thoroughly with shampoo.
05. Hot Water Shower
