5 Chinese Proverbs That Will Change Your Life

Before talking about Chinese proverbs, let’s know some general details about China. China is an East Asian country. The population is over 1.4 billion. It ranks third in the world in terms of land area. The gross domestic product is over $14 trillion. The per capita income in 2021 is $12,556. China is nicknamed “The Red Dragon”.

China, which has shown high industrial development, is one of the few most powerful countries in the world. China achieved great economic growth by being able to manufacture and distribute many electrical appliances at low prices around the world.

So let’s talk about how to apply the sayings of China in your life, which was a very poor country in the past and has become a very developed and powerful country today.

01. “If Your Face is Ugly, You Can’t Blame the Mirror”

This is a habit of many people. They point the finger at others when the fault or shortcoming is with them. Others are not responsible for your mistakes. If you get it wrong, it’s entirely your problem.

If your face is ugly, is there any point in blaming it on the mirror? The problem is in your face, not in the mirror. If you have a mistake or weakness, you should identify it and correct it. Only then, you will be able to change your life.

Otherwise, you will always blame the mirror. There is another saying similar to this; “He who cannot dance puts the blame on the floor”. Not being able to dance is your weakness, if you blame the floor for it, you will never be able to dance.

02. “A Half-filled Bottle Makes Noise (When Shaken), While a Full Bottle Makes None”

He who does not know much, and he who has not much, boasts much. A man of knowledge, a man of many possessions, does not boast of his knowledge or of his possessions.

A person with less knowledge talks more. A person with a small amount of assets pretends to have more assets. But they are partially empty, they are not complete. Like a half-full water bottle. It shakes quickly and makes a sound. But the full bottle does not make a sound. Think about whether you will be a full bottle or a half-full bottle.

03. “In Front of Short People, Do not Speak About Shortness”

This is very important for a good moral life. Some people hurt people by talking to them about things they don’t have. Some people do it without thinking, and some people do it deliberately. However, it hurts the other person’s heart.

So, be very careful while speaking. Speak with a good understanding of what you should and shouldn’t talk about, depending on the person concerned. By not doing so, it can lead to hurt feelings and sometimes even fights.

04. “The Truth is not Always Present in the Loudest Voice”

Another meaningful Chinese proverb. Have you seen people who made mistakes? They shout loudly to cover their mistake. Through that, they hope to prove that they did not commit the relevant mistakes.

No matter how loud they shout, will they be innocent? If they make a mistake, will it be corrected? Never. So, if you have made a mistake, admit it and be humble enough to apologize for it.

If someone else shouts loudly to prove his innocence, understand that he is the one who has done wrong. But by no means apologize or remain silent without making a mistake. If you haven’t made a mistake, definitely prove it. But, don’t try to cover up a mistake by shouting. It is very mean.

05. “Money Allows You to Speak with the Gods”

This is one of my favorite Chinese proverbs. It is the person who has no money who says that money cannot do everything. It is a story to comfort them. But people who have money use money to do many things that people who don’t have money can’t even think of doing.

That is the power of money. There is a story in some societies that “Money is the brother of God”. If you think that God can make a man a woman and a woman a man, money can do that too. If you believe that God can give children to a childless woman, then money can do the same.

You must have seen that while people who have no money who believe in God with great devotion are dying of diseases, millionaires who do not believe in God are living by spending money and doing operations.

In some cases where God cannot intervene, money acts as a proxy. So the story that “Money allows you to speak with the gods” is true.

No matter what anyone says, make a lot of money. If so, you will be able to maintain a close relationship with God. Also, you will be able to appear like a god in front of the society and help the needy people. No matter what, make a lot of money.

If you add these 5 Chinese proverbs to your life in the right way, you can change your life in a beautiful way. Never be stagnant in life. Life is created by how you act. If you act wisely, you will have a beautiful life. If you act incompetently, your life will be hell.
